Calcutta High Court was formed on July 01, 1862 and it is located in the capital of West Bengal, Kolkata. It is the oldest high court in India which was established as the High Court of Judicature at Fort William. It has jurisdiction over the state of West Bengal and the Union Territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It was preceded by the Supreme Court of Judicature at Fort William. Recently, it has issued the recruitment notification to fill the 59 vacancies in various posts.

Rs. 51550-1230-58930-1380-63070/- for Entry Level, Selection Grade Rs. 51550-1230-58930-1380-63070/- and for Super Time Scale (available on merit-cum-seniority to 10% of the cadre of District Judge who have put in not less than three years continuous service as Selection Grade District Judges) – Rs. 70290 – 1540 - 76450/-

Selection Criteria: The Selection will be made on the basis of Written Examination and Personal Interview by the Selection Committee.
